Wonderful texture in the hair! Nice use of contrasting colors... they make everything have a certain pop to them. Her face is well done also. I like how you even have the details of her eyelashes.
If it wasn't for the mute blood splatters, I wouldn't have understood why the title would be "Battered." She appears as if she's slumped against a wall, most likely because of the mood of the piccu.
The only thing that irks me about this is how much her lips stand out. It's just like: "BAM! BEHOLD MY LIPS!" Maybe that wouldn't be the case if they were a bit softer and the shading was a bit different? If you made them the same color as the purple that you see in her hair and shoulder instead of the brighter color they are now they would blend and fit a bit better.

Thank you! I worked hard on this (hardest on her eye lashes, believe me), and I fought with the colours. I don't usually use contrasting ones, so much so my mum asked whose work I was completing.

Er... Her lips are the same colour as her hair (well, the top half anyway; there's a gradient). It's just that the hair's broken up more. I'll try lowering the opacity and different types of shading on them, but they look terrible as a dark purple (like the one at the bottom of her hair; I tried that already). I'll see what I can do though and I'll let you know if I work something out.

No problem. Good luck with that! Maybe just increasing the shading a bit more on them would soften it up a bit without making them too dark. Either that or I just have a lip thing that I don't know about.
